THE TYPES OF wool

CORRIADALE
Light and glossy wool, with a good touch and good lubrication, free from hair and brown or black spots.
Contains well-marked and uniform undulations.
The average diameter of Corriedale wool fibers ranges from 26.5 to 30.9 micrometers, which corresponds to Cruza 1 and Cruza 2 fines.

MERINA
Soft wool to the touch, whose fleece is characterized by being dense, compact and uniform in all regions of the body.
The average diameter of Merina wool fibers can reach from 20 to 23.5 micrometers, and the average length of the wick varies between 8 and 10 centimeters.

fine MERINA
White colored wool, fine par excellence, of great quality and resistance, with a lot of fluid and colorless yolk.
It is the wool that has the greatest softness to the touch, through accentuated, numerous and uniform waves throughout the fleece, whose wicks have a square shape.
The average diameter of Merina Fina wool fibers can reach from 16 to 20 micrometers.

IDEAL
White, soft wool, with a translucent, fluid and well-distributed yolk.
Its fleece is dense, extensive and uniform in terms of the fineness and length of the strands — reaching from 10 to 14 centimeters, and the average diameter of the fibers can reach from 23 to 26.5 micrometers, corresponding to the prime A and prime B fines.

FINE BLACK
Merina wool or ideal soft to the touch.
The average diameter of its fibers can reach from 20 to 26.5 micrometers.
